On a recent trip to a Muslim country my husband & I were in the hotel lift heading back to our room from the pool (so I was not as covered up as I would have been on the street) and a group of women who got into the lift and were very modestly dressed including head coverings were staring at us. I felt quite uncomfortble *assuming* they were looking at me and were disapproving but when they got out of the lift I heard them giggle and whisper & say "did you see that mans hat - I think he's an Australian" LOL (Extra funny as we are kiwis)
