Many thousands of people young and old, families and singles stay or holiday in Bali every year, with no trouble other than the usual occasional travellers belly and so on.
Naturally, there can be localised trouble around the night spots, but then where is there not??
Just use normal common sense, just as you would anywhere else and I'm sure you can enjoy a safe holiday as many thousands around you are doing.
