Have been here for the past three weeks Has been very hot and extremely humid in Legian (cooler now I am in Ubud) OK if you are laying by a pool but not if you want to go shopping which usually involves lots of walking.

Have had to change clothing a couple of times a day due to humidity.
Take extra knickers as they dont always dry overnight Allow also for timing if you send clothes to the laundry.

Loads of clothes and shoes can be bought her if you are under a size 12 0r 14. I bought sandals here and in the hot weather got bad blisters as they werent "broken in"

Bring enough cotton or cool clothing for at least three days and then you wont make buying mistakes rushing around to look for things.

I have been here enough times now to have formed a pattern. On first day I get a Driver to take me to Jl Sulawesi (Fabric Street)in Denpasar....a great place for sheer cottons and silk fabrics.
They then go to my dressmaker that afternoon and in less than 48 hours I have all I need...perfect fit, style and cool. Fabric is never dearer than $3 per metre and making up is 50000 to 100,000rp
(Always under $15)
