many times don't understand how to shop in Indonesia. I cannot stand bargaining a price but I don't usually shop in market areas.
However, last time I was down Poppies 1 at Christmas I found everyone very pleasant, we even were told that for Balinese people the price is fixed. We are blonde haired and fair skinned so laughed at that, but it must be our approach as we have lived here so long.
Also, No and Thank you together is not the way Indonesians talk. If we don't want something we politely say Tidak Mau (no want), No and Thank you together is an oxymoron to the Indonesians.
