We've been here for nearly 3 weeks and for most of the time it has been the quietest we've ever seen in 30yrs of coming here. It's great for walking around & getting taxis with less traffic around Legian & Kuta. The shopkeepers are desparate to sell and some are resorting to old tricks like quickly swapping out a Rp10,000 for the Rp100,000 you gave them and saying you've given them the wrong note. The colours are similar, so be very sure of what notes you're giving. Try and use Rp50,000 when paying instead of 100,000.
