only three months on his when we went to Europe. He casually noticed it while we were sitting at the border of Switzerland (having got through Hong Kong and into Europe with noone saying anything). Didn't have any problems coming back either - apart from me almost divorcing him for not taking care of the one thing that was his responsiblity!
Note - this is NOT an endorsement that you will be OK, sounds like Indonesia is much more vigilant than some! Passport offices are usually really good with quick turnarounds, they must get this all the time.
