Candi Dasa and Padangbai are ok to do as a day trip, but i recommend you try and stay overnite in Lovina. It is a really long day if you go up and back in the one day and does not leave you much time to have a look around. A few reasonable dining options in Lovina, Kakatua on Jalan Binaria (Dolphin Street? And the Jasmine Thai in the same area (up the gang on the right before you get to Kakatua) The Thai dishes are quite nice there and reasonably cheap also. Tropis on the beach where the volleyball court is can be good occassionaly but never seem to have cold beer. Whatever you do dont go anywhere near the Astina, on Jalan Rambutan, The service is very slow and the food not worth waiting for. Enjoy.
