Sorry, cointreau is not triple sec. Triple sec is a citrus liquore with a slight lemon taste almost identical to white curacao. Cointreau is an orange liquore with a distinct orange flavour. A classic margharetta is made fron tequila, triple sec and lime juice.served in a salt encrusted glass(the rim).
There are not many places in Bali that serve correct margs. Most use arak in place od tequila and in some cases only use arak and lemon juice and hope the salt does the trick.
Two weeks ago at Rumours I was served a margharetta that was defineatly arak abnd lemon. When quiried the barman sheepishly said that the Trainee had got it wrong.
I will give them the benefit of the doubt and still frequent Rumours as it is a good spot.
