I carry the hand sanitiser gel with me, but never remember to use it. I used it once in 3 weeks this past trip, on the first or second day and then promptly forgot all about it, as usual.
I have ice in drinks, eat salads and eat meals from bain maries usually once a trip at least - that's not counting if the hotel breakfast is buffet-style. I eat chicken, and occasionally pork, but I generally don't like pork so that's rare for that reason alone. Have eaten from street carts, warungs of varying sizes, as well as western style restaurants, but rarely the hotel restaurant aside from perhaps a lunchtime 'japple' if I'm having a lazy day in. Also this past trip, for the first time tried the padang style food that sits out in the window in dishes at room temp.
Never been sick in 9 trips since 94. I'm guessing I must be lucky. :)
