I first went to bali in 1982 and fell in love with the place there was not much traffic mainly motor bikes and bemos the streets were dark at nite not many restaurants few hotels and many family run losmens. At the top of jalan padma on the corner of jalan legian was a restaurant called "happys" i went back again in 83 and 84 then i did not go back for 20 years. i cried the first time i went back i could not get over the change, however i have been back twice a year since and i still love bali despite all the changes.
