After trying to find info about this villa and not having much luck we are finally here. To do a report on the villa I am trying to stay objective after usually staying in a much better villa (which also has a much better price!)
I decided to try and do the accommodation cheaper as we are doing 2 trips this year.
Ok firstly the location is second to none. Down a little gang right opposite the Puri Raja Hotel. Only about 50m from Padma Utara - this is a great spot to be.
You can hear the scooters go by from time to time but not continually aand essentially the villa is very quiet.
The layout of the villa (its actually 2 separate buildings)is a bit hard to decribe. when you walk into the villa entrance you walk into the first building which has a bedroom, ensuite, kitchen/dining/living area. The large bedroom window overlooks the pool but the living areas dont.
The second villa has the same areas but a much larger bathroom with an outdoor shower and the whole side
of the bathroom is open - nice and airy with no walls next to the toilet LOL
Aircon works well in both bedrooms. Both beds are king sized but a bit hard for my liking. The whole place is clean.
The pool area is about 11m x 8m with a small garden. The pool itself is kidney shaped and about 7m x 4m. Plenty big enough and clean.
The cons for me were:
Internet is very unreliable - we had to use a phone to ring this number to reset the internet a dozen times a day. For us the net is essential to run our business while we are away. This was a real pain in the butt.
Bedrooms only had sheets on the bed. IN the early hours we got a bit cold so asked for blankets the next day. We got a single bed blanket each for a king sized bed!
There is a maid who comes in from 10-4 who does all the dishes, washing and cleaning etc which was good.
ONe of those big water cooler things in each villa.
For $169 a night it was pretty good value although the boss doesnt like it much. As I said before I think we have been a bit spoilt.
