I agree with Melbmeg re this orphanage. I have visited and support their 'hand painted by street kids' items. While the kids do the original paintings they are then printed onto cards and calendars and sold in some shops as well as at the orphanage. By providing the kids with an alternate income to the "bracelets and begging" the parents of many kids have been happy with the kids living and getting an education at this orphanage as the painting cards income can go to help support the family. The lives some of the kids had as street kids is quite heart wrenching and seeing them in a safe environment and learning some skills is great.Some severely disabled children have had medical attention through YKPA also.
