Dengue Fever is now common in Bali, as well as in most of SE Asia including places like KL. The Dengue mozzies are around mostly during the day so be sure you all wear strong mozzie repellant at all times & carry some with you when out & about. (I am just back from the hairdresser & she & her partner spent most of their holiday in BIMC with Dengue - they had no idea about it).

It's a good idea to take non-scented soap & deodorant & don't wear perfume (this kills me as I am a perfume freak) as mozzies are attracted to scents, as they are to dark clothes.

Don't want to alarm you but it pays to be forewarned. I have been going to Bali regularly since '83 & just take sensible precautions.

Take antiseptic hand wipes & always use them before eating (I even wipe cutlery with them but that's me).

You will find the traffic vile, as everyone does because it is.

Be sure to have good travel insurance.

I always have a flu vaccination before going & make sure my typhoid vaccination is up to date - talk to your doctor.

Simple, sensible precautions will ensure that you all have a wonderful holiday. June is my fave time & I'll be there again this year.

You will all have a great time.
