I have stayed at the Jayakarta Hotel and Residence.
It is a 40 minute walk along the beach from the hotel to Central Kuta. You could always walk one way and catch a taxi back.
The breakfast at the hotel is not that exciting, but there are some restuarants near the entrance to the hotel that have more exciting food.
Bring sunscreen and duty free spirits with you as both items ae expensive in Bali.
