I have also booked these cheap tickets direct with Garuda, but have had a nagging feeling that they were too cheap to be true. I just wonder if anyone has spoken to the reservation office in Perth to confirm the bookings are all ok.
Will be interesting to see what, if anything happens when customers start using these Very Cheap Fares. I guess if Air Asia can do it, so can Garuda .
Maybe you were just extremely unlucky, or a mistake made by Garuda with your Credit Card. Haven't heard of this happening to anyone else thus far.
