I have read a few 'articles" about this! And as I understand it the premises that are designated non-smoking won't be allowed to sell tobacco products either (a bit of a loss for some)the designated areas will be hotels, restaraunts and bars (plus others (no idea)). The penalty will be 50000Rp fine and possible 3 months in the clink! This appears to me as just another avenue for the polici to make some exxtra cash from the tourists!
