I would say that it is suitable for kids and in fact probably more suited for kids rather than precious and serious adults. Your kids will need serious non slip shoes that won't give them blisters for the muddy areas and long shorts.
This tour has all the elements of a fun adventure. Rice paddies with palm trees, river area, a mossy water fall with mushrooms and big stone stairs to climb up.
IMHO no other tour offered as many diverse landscapes in one walk.
Your guide will go out of his way to ensure that your kids are safe with every step.
