point out how indirectly the other charities do help the poor here, I personally have never given to a dog charity here but I have used their services 100's of times. So I can speak firsthand how helpful they have been and that people may not realise the problem this Island would be in without their help. My personal views do not come into anything, it's just that I like to share information so people can make their own decisions. If I actually stuck to my own beliefs I couldn't live here. I may never go to Australia again, I have lived there, I am European/Australian, I just believe you help your own backyard and Bali is mine, but we really appreciate the help that Australians especially give to Bali when they really do have a huge backyard of their own to help.
No need to donate but a free beer is always welcome, maybe you need to come down to Lake Batur and see for yourself one day. Awareness is also what helps the disadvantaged people of Bali, and taking the time to listen to what these people actually want, it can sometimes surprise and humble anyone.
