AA also has Web Check In. Once you have done Web Check In, you cannot alter your booking.
Web Check In means that you print your boarding pass before you go to the airport. In practice, boarding is no faster and sometimes slower with Web Check In. The AA ground staff rip off part of your boarding pass at checkin and you take the rest of the boarding pass onto the plane.
