We clothe the dogs and give the people the rabies shots? Dont get me wrong, i'm a dog lover also, but the dogs in Bali have been a pest for a long time. At the height of the rabies crisis they were rounding them up and putting them down. The problem dogs are the ones roaming the street and beaches, they breed freely and most people take pity on the pups and feed them.I can understand that also, but it only makes the problem worse. We have all come across aggressive homeless dogs on the beach, they hang around for food, fight each other and just cause problems.Locally owned dogs that live in compounds with their owners are rarely aggressive and do not carry rabies. The poor dont have dogs as pets because they can't feed themselves let alone a pet dog. Just my thoughts on this. But surely people come before mangy dogs? Cheers.
