The one I always use is in a small alleyway just north of Mako restaurant and Trophy pub. Between a travel shop and a shoe shop. Writes down your entitlement and lets you count the money before touching your cash. About 5 minutes north of Mercure.
Too many restaurants to recommend. On beach side my favourites are Kesuma and Bamboo, southern end of town, sal e pepper, Cat & Fiddle, Pride of India, but could probably pick another 20 equally as good. Closer to Mercure Mama puta (?) and Gardenia worth visiting.
