i would assume not?? i have only worn birkenstocks (not exaggerating) every single day!) since i left for travelling last november- and they are worth the money for me :)
i like to know i can walk around a city all day long sightseeing/shopping etc and know my feet aren't going to be killing me from my shoes :)
btw there is a birkenstock shop on jl nakula but they are REALLY expensive (1-1.2million rp)- lot cheaper outside of bali- in fact a german website ships them worldwide for a lot less money than you buy them here (not sure about Oz I've never been!)
