would be interesting to know what income / etc he took from business. Yes the business was not in good financials but partly due to the expanse into new routes too quickly and the rebranding of the company.
I worked for a small company that was brought out by a larger conglomerate. The following year they withdraw several million from the company, and soon after put the company into voluntary liquidation. The company was in a solid earner and had no reason to be put into this situation if they had not withdrawn the money, it was not owed to the parent company.
Is this bad business sense or a planned liquidation to use other companies money into new ventures.
