Up at 6am for our flight out of Adelaide. Check in quick and easy apart from grumpy security screening staff.
Flight was ahead of schedule. Breeze through customs, not too impressed with under 12 kids having to go through alone though, daughter could not even see over counter. Found our driver almost straight away with tons of drivers & signs around. Drive to Rama Beach Resort was less than 5 minutes. Welcomed with a cold drink, had to wait a bit cos we were 2 hours early for check in. 1 room was ready within about 20 minutes, so off the 3 of us went to 1 room. Less than 10 minutes later the 2nd room was ready.
Walked to Discovery & Sugar Mamas for lunch. Shopped then had dinner at Febris. Tried to get sim card for iPhone silly me forgot to restore phone after having unlocked so after them trying to set it up I couldn't text. Used facebook in free wifi areas. Hotel was $2 for 1 hr & $3 for 2 hrs, fairly good I think.
Rama was fantastic (review has been posted)
Day 2
Breakfast at the hotel, quite ok: pancakes, cereal, rice, noodles, bacon etc, juice (bit dissapointed there was no pineapple juice)
Had reflexology450 000r in Rama spa (expensive, but still cheaper than home). Shopped some more. Dinner at Bubba Gumps again pricey but nice, love the atmosphere!.
Day 3
Shopping & Febris again for lunch (became a habit really as staff were nice, food was good and cheap) Sabro (staff member) was great. . Went to Jenis and Diannes fixed price shop and got a few things. Got back to hotel for a swim & realised daughter had left her bag in the change room oh oh after a lost in translation phone call frommyself and the hotel reception, the bag was still there so we hot footed it back to shop ( about 10 min walk in 5 mins) all was good, Thank goodness no one else went in changeroom & Dianne was honest, all was intac,t money, ipad & phone phew!!!
Back to hotel for a calm down & swim.
Walked along path from resort to Discovery & had dinner at Oceans 27, great spot, pool tables were great! Food was nice but a tad exp.
Day 4
Lazed around pool for the morning & had lunch at Rama. Kinda erks me that people think they can reserve lounges & bali huts with towels, it is not allowed there & if I notice a towel there for more than an hour, tough luck they didn't need it really, so moved the towels aside & sat down.
Coffee at Starbucks, shopping at Matahari, dinner at B Couple, kebabs were yum.
Day 5
Morning at Waterbom just myself and daughter, great day!!
Walked back along beach in the rain. Febris again lol then Poppies 1 & 2, Bali bombing memorial. Then got caught in a huge downpour, a little lost by now, so hailed a Blue bird taxi back to Rama. Nightcap at poolside bar & off to bed.
