Just in the process of organising a 20ft container to Cairns.It will be leaving Bali next wednesday.
Ball park prices are $3000 Bali to Brisbane.About $3000 to get it off the wharf then about $4000 by rail to Cairns.This includes the return of the container to Brisbane.
If you wanted to you can purchase your own container in Bali(around $2500)but all the above prices still apply(Less about $500 for container return)..The advantage of this is that the container will be dropped off and you can unpack it at your leisure.If its a rented container you only get a couple of hours to unpack it before it has to be returned.Any longer to unload and you will incur waiting costs of around $200 per hour.You can also sell the container when finished and maybe make a bit of a profit.My email is open if you want more info.
