Left GK yesterday and the hotel next door had been open for maybe a week. I was told by their staff that they are only working on the rooftop lounge now and that will be finished next week. We were in the superior rooms on the right at the front as you walk into the hotel so if there was any noise we would certainly have copped it! The front pool was up and running.
My only reservation would be about the downstairs superior rooms which are horribly dark now because the wall next door meets the balcony of the rooms above and kapow! Instant darkness. If you only plan to sleep there and like a dark room then these would be the ones for you! We stayed on the first floor and had a lovely light room with the hotel next door not,as I had feared, intrusive at all.
