I love Sanur but I haven't found any really spectacular restaurants there. You can certainly get a decent meal at one of many perfectly acceptable places, but there's not the buzz of somewhere like Sarong. If food is as important to you as it is to me, you'll probably find Sanur a bit disappointing and end up cabbing over to Seminyak most nights for dinner).
Maybe try staying in a different part of Seminyak, or somewhere close like Petitenget, Kerobokan or Canggu?
