I have stayed at the CPM Hotel for last 5 years. Have been thru the renovations and changes etc and find the staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Most of them are longterm so we have struck up some good friendships with them. Be warned there is a new hotel, with a big pool etc which is lovely and clean and there is the old part which badly needs renovations but has that "Bali" charm with gardens etc. Don't be dissapointed if you get a room on the old side remembering it's 2 * so don't expect too much, however, just ask Carlos at the front desk for possible upgrade and see what happens.
