I'd suggest you go to a bookstore and buy the Lonely Planet guide - infinitely helpful for any Bali traveler, but particularly first timers. Even if you go to a 2nd hand bookshop, Vinnies or even on Ebay and buy an older edition. The info hasn't changed a whole lot in the last 2 or 3 editions anyway.
