above the knee shorts, plain colour with small detail or logo.
Wearing the comically large Bintang or similarly low quality knock offs is really a sorry look... (asbestos armour placement in 5-4-3...)
The graphic laden longer boardies are (thankfully) making way for the shorter variety... and Speedos, well I have the jockey short type but I wear them under my swim shorts.
And anything that drops down to show the Bonds undies your mum bought you (or worse, ass crack) are definitely out.
I find the same clothing goes for the pool or the beach... but if you're walking the street or at a restaurant, do everyone a favour and put a top on.
Hope that helps... and for all the haters - I'm a personal trainer, with (I think) a healthy physique, but also a sense of decency and modesty. So while I find people of similar stature can and do strut around showing off their 'tribal' tattoos (which, I admit, are helpful in identifying which tribe they are from) I believe in respecting the local culture and not parading around with your singlet tucked into your shorts, with white-rimmed sunglasses and hats with backward facing brims (where do you even buy them - all the shops I go to, the hats brims face forwards...)
