The kombi's have a certain nostalgia and speaking to a lot of surfers and backpackers the kombi's are attractive for that reason.
That being said I agree that they're not for everyone which is why I have a couple of kombi's, for the novelty factor, but our main campers are based on brand new Diahatsu Gran Max's that drive as you would expect any new car to drive. Still fitting the Gran Max's out so no photos of them yet.
