1. It is hot all year round, however we have found it cooler in the evenings around August and usually not much rain then...
2. We always try to avoid Kuta, especially with the kids. For the tourist strip, we prefer Seminyak and depending on your budget saw a special recently with Frangipani Villas for $100 per night. In Ubud, try Agung Raka cottages, great value bungalows and for east coast we like Candi Dasa and Amed, especially www.lifebali.com
3. Won't fit much into 10 days as it will take a few days just to get your heads around it all!! We always do 3 x weeks, but wuld suggest if you are paying out airfares anyway, stay min. 2 x weeks! There is so much to do and see in Bali and our kids have a ball and never want to get on the plane to come back!
4. For places to go, some favourites are Waterbomb Park and Safari Park for small and big kids! Sunday arvo religion...Echo beach for seafood BBQ and the band starts about 6:30pm!
