Strongly recommend NOT to stay at Anakula Villas. Stayed for 2 weeks. Paid deposit 11 months upfront then 2 weeks before they asked for the total which is when I questioned it.
We are frequent bali travellers so we know the 'Bali factor' and usually laugh things off but this we felt was too much to laugh off.
We had 2 adjoining villas, in one, the pool was cloudy and dirty the whole time, we complained on many occasions and they said they were fixing it but no changes. The villas are open onto the pool area. As we were staying in January when it can be wet, the rain came in and there was no way to stop it. The tiles were soaked and slippery. In total between us all we had 6 falls in the time we were all very lucky not to have any breaks or cracked heads, all bacause of the wet tiles and all they could offer were a couple of tea towels to put on the floor, although they did go and but us a mop but left it for us to clean up.
They did clean every day although after a week we had to ask for the sheets to be changed.
Globes were out all over the place, powerpoints in rooms didnt work. Mum and dads room had big leaks and they ended up having to put a bucket between their heads to catch the drips.
Sink in bathroom didnt work and televisoin chanels were all Indo which my brother wasnt happy about as they had advertised they had internations channels.
After all this and me asking what can be done as compensation for all the issues, as there was no way of getting any money back out of them, they offered 4 complimentary 30minute massages to come to the villa, I thought great, we'll take it. Then they went back on thier word and said they can't do that anymore. I was over it completley!
Will definately not be staying there again..
