We were in Bali last year on Nyepi day, I really enjoyed it, made u relax around the pool our hotel blocked out all the windows with cardboard so no light shone thru, they also cooked us lunch and dinner for a price of course. We were allowed to use the pool, however no splashing and noise. We had candles around the stair well for light. All of the shops starting closing two days before and on Nyepi eve by 6 oclock, everything was closed (including Matahari) it was quite strange walking around with not so much of a scooter in site. On Nyepi day and night itself there was not a sole on the street. The Parade is actually on the night before Nyepi day, the statues are amazing. The shops actually didnt get back to normal at least 24 hours after Nyepi day is over. All and All was an experience which I really did enjoy and would do again.
