jetstar surfboard size

Hi all, just managed to replace our doomed air oz flights with jetstar in june. We have never flown with jetstar before, so I was wondering how strict they are with surfboard baggage size. Their website states 1.9 mtrs, are they strict with this, or is there some leeway? Has anyone had any drama with this? Thanks
