wasnt up but, that aside, I am not in denial about drunken behaviour, I am in denial that the three line report could be called reporting at all. And as to being outnumbered, you are right, I dont stand with those people that think that bad manners is an arrestable offence or think that Kuta is some untouchable cultural experience somehow being defiled by drunken Australians. Kuta is what it is and promotes and supports whatever it takes to strip a tourist of their money. Be it shopping during the day or skolling large amounts of alcohol and behaving drunkenly at night, thats the industry that is Kuta. The footage that you are so impressed with had the same grab played over about three times. If the behaviour was so newsworthy and so exceptional that it warranted coverage, how is it that we had to see that one fella with his shorts down so many times. Yes people get drunk and behave badly but, IME, the behaviour was so much worse pre-2002 and its only of late that the bars and clubs are back in full stride and numbers of tourists are back to where they were and more.
All that and more, my sneering is at the low-grade, juvenile reporting and the fact that something so insignificant and so un-newsworthy interests and inflames the punters of this forum not that people might be getting drunk in Kuta.
