I think it's actually 4 months but you are right. They're worried about dengue type things I think she said. Last time I donated here in Aus they couldn't use it all because I'd been to Bali within the timeframe (annoying since I'd mentioned my travel plans the visit before and nothing was said about exclusion periods).
My thought when reading this was that I could give blood there before coming home because it's normally 3 mths between donations & I would have to wait 4 mths on return from Bali anyhow.
They told me it's also 1 month exclusion after returning from the US.
