Just goes to show, once a FOS real-estate salesman always FOS whether selling real estate or dodgy VIP services.
WA was a free settled colony with convict (probably RE salesman of their day) being brought in later to assist in development. Much like Bali cons coming in left right and centre for "development" reasons.

WA is older and better than the religious nuts dircetly to their east. No wonder they never wanted to be part of Federation.
