been there done that on a trip from bali to sydney - sydney to brisbane, never again.
Problem arising is if there are a few planes getting in at the same time as yours you have no idea how long its going to take to get through customs etc. Then you have to get out of the International terminal and get either a taxi or the shuttle bus to the domestic terminal. Check into domestic and then on the plane. We nearly missed our flight going to brissy the shuttle bus driver trying to do us a favour dropped us at the wrong terminal, my husband was on crutchs at the time. Even if he hadn't been on crutches the time frame was tight. Going to sydney and leaving to go to bali the plane was held up only because our friend was there and new we should have been there to check in. I would much rather have time up my sleeve than miss my flight.
