upstairs at Bintang Supermarket. They had very cheap kitchen utensils/equipment - we bought a small wooden chopping board & a knife (for cutting limes & herbs for cocktails in our room) for less than AU $1 each. Can't remember the price of the mortar & pestles off the top of my head but they were very reasonable & they had various sizes.
It's on my shopping list for the next trip - had too much other hand luggage to lug one home this time!
