I think many of us did not know that a Dr's letter technically holds no water whatsoever in Indonesia. Personally I no longer need to take Codeine with me (Hurrah!)but many people do need to take this and stronger narcotics for pain.
Nobody seems to have met anyone who has been picked up for this which is great but does not mean that one fine day it couldn't happen.
If you have declared them then maybe Kerobokan is unlikely but they could be confiscated which may be disastrous for some people or you may just find yourself making a contribution to the customs officers' slush fund for needy customs officers.
Soooo, what anyone decides to do depends on what situation they would find themselves in if their drugs were confiscated. Intolerable pain is probably not a good option for an enjoyable holiday nor is sudden withdrawal from opiates. Individual decision.
With apologies for using far to many words...AGAIN.
TTFN off to Bali
