See the reports on 9th January 'nusa dua query'.
This is my submission from that date-
We have stayed a number of times at the Melia Bali - it is a good location as on the beach side of the hotel, you have a lovely walking track all the way along the beach - mostly in the shade. I wrote in another follow-up on the forum about a restaurant we quite often go to - KENDI KUNING at Tanjung Benoa. If you telephone them, they will pick you up and drop you home after eating. Tel: 744 1398 (between Club Med + Melia Benoa). We also go to Co-Ordinaire in Block C at the Bali Collection which is just a short walk from the Melia Bali. Both of these restaurants are quite cheap and serve really good food - also have really cold Bintangs.
The Bali Collection is a good shopping area including SOGO which is a big department store as well as lots of small shops, catering for everyone. We went to the DevDan Theatre to see the latest production in July which was really worth seeing - a mix of music, dance and movement. If you like Thai influence food, you can go to TAO at Tanjung Benoa - they will also pick up from the hotel. The best Balinese food without doubt is found at Bumbu Bali but it is quite spicy - they will also do pickups from the Melia Bali.
