A MUST for any foodie. Even if you don't buy anything it's delightful looking at the huge variety of seafood & watching the boats come in. And it doesn't smell bad.

I dragged my husband there moaning & groaning a few years ago then had to drag him away - he found it a fascinating place, as it is.

If you don't speak enough Bahasa Indonesia to bargain yourself, you could ask your driver to do it & share with him. VERY cheap.

Be aware, though, that this is the Wet Season & so the fishing boats don't go out every day - only when weather permits.

I am always reluctant to order seafood at restaurants during The Wet as it might be a few days old. If you can buy from the markets from boats you see coming in then no worries. Otherwise, I wouldn't order seafood in a restaurant in bad weather.
