Stand pretty much anywhere along Jl Legian and you will see it.
My sis and I were there 2 years ago for Nyepi Day and it wasn't really a drama for us. We had breakfast in the restaurant as normal and enjoyed the peace and quiet as it faces the road. Quite a few people used the pool. Some sat at the pool bar for most of the day, I dread to think about the quality of the water around them if you know what I mean.
As it was two days before we were leaving, we used the day to sort through our purchases; trial pack our suitcases; watch some dvd's and do some reading, channel surfing or sleeping lol. We did stock up on some nibblies in advance like fruit and cheese and crackers etc. We weren't bothered about the pricey hotel buffet that was offered.
After dark, we had a lamp on and TV with the curtains drawn.
The next day we wandered the streets and did notice that Legian had more shops open than Kuta.
Enjoy your trip. :)
