This has been a topic of mine for a while. Some Bali friends tell me that it is not really coins they make stuff from. Ever been leaving Bali and been approached at the Airport with guys trying to exchange a hand full of $2 & $1 coins and wonder where they get them from?? Are they porters ??NO they are not, but they are always there. Most want say $10 worth of coins to make you a bangle then you get a bangle and it goes Green ?? have you ever know a $1 to go green. Some may make stuff from coins if you believe it. $10 is a good score and to waste it making something they can make from a cheaper metal and then cash in at airport is a better option for them.
