A pool noodle is light, bright and most importantly, NOT made of plastic (yech). You can hook it under your arms; sit on it (hmmm not always easy); you can swipe any kid that comes too close on the head and not cause injury; you can wave it at the passing waiters to catch their attention; you can try to push it under water for some exercise; you can rest you head on it while you float; and many, many other fun things. Seriously though, they are great for the kids as it gives them something to play with and keeps them feeling safe. Actually, it keeps the adults who can't swim feeling safe too!A day in the pool without a noodle is like mee goreng without the....well, noodles :)
