Was at a small place in Seminyak, the staff did a parade through the hotel banging drums and buckets, anything they could find, we found it all quite intersting and witnessed quite a few ceremonies during our visit. I recall stocking up on stuff for the room, but the hotel restaurant was open. We spent a very quiet day in the hotel, reading etc and not watching television. We tried to follow some of the local thinking, that it is a day for quiet reflection and all that. I recall a sheet being hung in the hotel entrance way to block the view of the street. For the next few days much was closed. Im sure others will be of more help!
