A great reminder and timely advice to our fellow travelling public - not only to Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam etc but to any overseas country. Just another reason that Oz is the "lucky country" being one of very few western countries rabies free.
For the doubters, before flaming the writer, consider your potential to rabies exposure with the dogs, cats, monkeys and bats etc. Then consider the very long and anxious wait for the blood test results to come back. Cheap "Peace of Mind" for about AUD$150-ish - for a life-time of immunity. (This from Travel-Bug Clinic). We love the place, are very regular travellers to Indonesiand and have property there, but dont trust any of the above mentioned animals one bit.
