I estimate (but estimating distances is not my strongest point!) On the beach there are a string of really good little restaurants where you can sit with you toes in the sand while your children play. For seafood you really can't beat Kesuma where you pick what you want from the ice box and it comes with vegies, rice or chips and sauces. The same sort of deal as Jimbaran Bay at maybe half the price or 2/3 at most. Grilled in the same way but not cremated!

These little eateries have beach chairs for which there is no charge if you are eating and drinking from their cafe. The sea is calm because of the reef creating a sort of tidal lagoon and the fishing boats you see are actually part of the village fishing fleet not just for taking tourists out but of course they will do that too. Suggest you get Crocs or something for the children as the sand can be quite sharp with bits of coral. There is a rip off Croc shop nearly opposite the Trophy pub.

Not much of a shopper so I can't help you there. I am sure you will enjoy SBVs. When in February will you be there? We may cross paths.
