There is a left luggage facility between International & Domestic Terminals. Not sure of the prices but pretty cheap - you could ask there on your arrival in Bali - it's near/behind McDonalds.
My husband leaves his boards & surfing stuff there often when in Bali with me (he surfs elsewhere in Indonesia).
I have seen reports of tampering when bags have been left with hotels. Haven't read about tampering at the airport left luggage, which is not to say it doesn't/won't happen.
